Alicia is the Co-Executive Director of DigiDems as well as the Founder of Spark Actions. Spark Actions is a progressive millennial engagement platform. Prior to that, Alicia was both a seasoned entrepreneur including co-founding Buttoned Up, a company dedicated to helping busy women get sanely organized and a senior CPG marketer working for Unilever and General Mills. Alicia holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a BA from Claremont McKenna College. Alicia got involved in politics because she promised her teenage daughter, Lucy, that she would find a way to make a difference after the 2016 elections.
David was a product executive at AdColony (acquired by Opera Software), AT&T Interactive and a co-founder of Mobile Content Networks, with deep experience in Mobile, including pioneering work in Video and HyperLocal advertising. He sits on the Board of the non-profit Bay Team Agility Club and holds a BA in Creative Writing from Stanford University.
Director of HR
Michelle is strategic in all things people. Helping companies successfully recruit, reward, grow and retain the best talent! Passionate about creating “best in class” global workplaces, where employees thrive rather than just show up for a job. Facilitating increased collaboration, productivity and a great culture with high ROI. She loves building teams from the ground up or coming in at a critical time where an organization is in need of change, structure and process.
Allen sits on boards of both for-profit and non-profit organizations, and advises several others. He’s interested in a robust and productive politics that contributes to America’s economic, social and cultural growth, as well as our leadership around the world. He’s one of the co-founders of Linkedin.
Jorge began his career with the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights. He worked for the reelection campaign of President Barack Obama and later served as Associate Director for the Office of Public Engagement at The White House for Latino and Immigration Outreach.
Jorge served as the Nevada State Director for Secretary Hillary Clinton. Under his leadership, Secretary Clinton won the state and Nevadans elected the first Latina U.S. Senator and flipped the State Legislature to Democratic control.
Eduardo is a designer and an engineer. He has over 13 years of experience working as a software engineer, information architect, and user experience designer. For the past 6 years he's been focused on developing design within social impact practices in order to help make a positive difference in the world. He’s co-founded Project 100, an organization dedicated to helping get progressive women elected to Congress, and PRTNRS, LLC a social impact design and engineering studio working with organizations that are helping improve their communities.
He previously held several titles (Executive Creative Director, Director, Designer) at the US Digital Service, a White House startup launched under President Obama to use design and technology to deliver better services to the American people; he focused on immigration reform and developing new capabilities for NATO. He is also a decorated Marine Corps veteran.
Jeff is a technologist and humanitarian. He spent 15 years in Silicon Valley as an engineer, designer, and founder. For the past 12 years, he has worked in international development. He established and co-directed the ThoughtWorks Social Impact Program, built Mercy Corps' Technology for Development team, and helped to launch the Digital Impact Alliance at the UN Foundation. Jeff is most proud of his on-the-ground field work in varied locations from Mongolia to Madagascar and of his emergency deployments to Liberia for the Ebola crisis and Lesbos during the Syrian migrant crisis.

John has degrees in Economics and Psychology from UCLA. He's fascinated by people as well as how a company runs. Prior to DigiDems, he's worked heavily in Finance and Operations for start-ups. He enjoys watching movies and playing with dogs.
Karan comes to DigiDems after a decade of working as a software engineer, product architect, and startup founder. He most recently served as the Chief Technology Officer on Brian Forde's Congressional campaign in CA-45. In that role, he developed the infrastructure to manage the campaigns' communications, field, and finance operations – including a custom-built phone banking tool that enabled volunteers to reach over 50,000 voters through calls and texts.
Karan thrives at designing, developing, and deploying software that solves real problems for real humans – and he can't think of a more important place to put those skills to use than in helping DigiDems preserve our democracy!
Kate has 12 years of experience working in Democratic politics. Most recently, she served under President Barack Obama as the Deputy Director of the Domestic Policy Council at the White House, where her focus was immigration and criminal justice policy. Kate’s prior roles include COO at Bully Pulpit Interactive, Deputy Director of Paid Media for President Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign, and Director of Scheduling and Advance for Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s campaign. Kate holds a BS in Communications from Ithaca College.
Annie is a recent graduate of UCLA with a degree in Applied Mathematics. For the past four months, she studied food systems in rural Sicily. When she's not whipping up a mean pasta dish, she enjoys fighting for democracy. She's ecstatic to be back in The States and to be a part of such an amazing team.
Ranna is a product manager who builds technology to enable robust ecosystems. In her previous stint at Google, she launched features for news articles on Google Search, and managed projects in news search ranking and quality. When she’s not working in industry, she enjoys being an educator -- most recently she taught product design and entrepreneurship in India and the Middle East. She is originally from the Chicago area and received a Bachelor's in Computer Science from MIT. She is excited to apply her experience in systems thinking and data analysis towards creating a more robust democracy.
Director of Strategy and Development
Ellyn spent the past 8 years helping to build and scale conscious consumer brands, sweetgreen and Honest Tea. Most recently, she led mission + social impact at sweetgreen, where she developed and led the strategy to integrate and prioritize the company's mission with the same rigor as their financials. Ellyn has gotten increasingly involved in politics over the years and looks forward to spending all day every day working on some of the critical roadblocks impacting our democracy.
Project Director, Retrospective
Sam is a software engineer and data scientist. He has spent the last seven years building products with the goal of having a meaningful, positive impact on real people across the country. Most recently, Sam joins the team from the US Digital Service, where he worked on the healthcare team and focused on data availability for individuals, and making interactions with the government easier for doctors and patients.
Director of Electoral Program
Gabe has been doing IT management and leadership development for the last twenty years with experience in media, finance, and infrastructure development corporations. After joining the DigiDems 2018 electoral program, he found the intersection of politics and technology to be an ideal place to maximize his skillsets and help lead for change in America.
